Das Zentrum Digitaler Bauprozess an der TU Wien beschäftigt sich mit den Aspekten und Prozessen der Digitalisierung des Bauwesens. Ein Kernelement ist die Verwendung von Building Information Modeling (BIM), im Speziellen als openBIM.

Derzeit laufen dazu zwei sehr innovative Forschungsprojekte:
BIM-Zert - Standardisiertes Qualifizierungs- und Zertifzierungsmodell für Building Information Modeling in Österreich mit den Projektpartnern FH Salzburg-Kuchl, TU Graz, FH Kärnten- Spittal und buildingSMART Austria.
BRISE-Vienna - Building Regulations Information for Submission Envolvement mit den For- schungspartnern Stadt Wien (mehrere Magistratsabteilungen), TBW-ODE (Office for Digital Engineering), der Ziviltechnikerkammer für Wien, Niederösterreich und Burgenland sowie WH Media GmbH.

Während sich das zuerst genannte Projekt einen neuen Standard für die funktionale BIM-Ausbildung und -Zertifzierung in Österreich aufbaut, wird in zweiten Forschungsprojekt an der Entwicklung eines openBIM-Bewilligungsverfahrens geforscht. Beiden gemeinsam ist der Fokus auf openBIM - und damit auf die Datenstruktur IFC. Das gleiche Verständnis der Begriffe und Beteiligte in openBIM-Projekten ist genauso wichtig des Aufbaus / der STruktur von IFC. Nur mit diesem gemeinsamen Verständnis verwenden alle die gleiche "Sprache".

Daher widmet sich dieser Bericht der Begriffsdefinition in openBIM-Projekten und der genauen Erklärung der Struktur von IFC.

The Center of Digital Building Processes at the TU Wien deals with the aspects and processes of the digitization of the building industry. A core element is the use of Building Information Modeling (BIM), especially as openBIM.

Two very innovative research projects are currently running:
BIM-Zert - Standardized Qualification and Certification Modell for Building Information Modeling in Austria with the research partners Salzburg University of Applied Sciences-Kuchl, TU Graz, Carinthia University of Applied Sciences-Spittal and buildingSMART Austria.
BRISE-Vienna - Building Regulations Information for Submission Envolvement with the research partners Stadt Wien, TBW-ODE (Office for Digital Engineering), the Chamber of Architects and chartered Engineering Consultants Vienna, Lower Austria and Burgenland as well as WH Media GmbH.

While the first-mentioned project is building an new standard for functional BIM education and certification in Austria, the second project researches on a new openBIM submission process. Both have in common the focus on openBIM - and thus on the IFC data structure. Only with this common understanding do all participant use the same language.

Therefore, this report is dedicated to the definition of terms in openBIM projects and the explanation of the structure of IFC.
